IEEE-RAS Workshop at GPREC

EMPOWERING FUTURE ENGINEERS WITH ROBOTICS & IOT SKILLS THAT GO BEYOND CLASSROOMS

At UniFirst Robotics, our mission is to transform classrooms into innovation hubs, and this vision came alive at G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College (GPREC), Kurnool. In collaboration with the IEEE Robotics & Automation Society (RAS), we conducted a two-day hands-on training program on Robotics & IoT that empowered students to move beyond theory and create real-world solutions.

Driving Innovation Through Hands-On Learning

This workshop was carefully designed to bridge the gap between academic concepts and industry applications. Over two days, students explored:
✅ Building and programming robots from scratch
✅ Integrating IoT systems into robotics projects
✅ Understanding how innovation can solve real-world problems
✅ Collaborating as teams to turn ideas into tangible results

The energy and excitement in the workshop reflected a simple truth: when students are given the right tools and mentorship, they don’t just learn—they innovate.

EXCEPTIONAL LEADERSHIP AND DELIVERY

The sessions were led by S. Sunil Kumar, Managing Director of UniFirst Robotics, whose clarity, practical approach, and inspiring delivery were praised as “Excellent” by participants. His words reinforced the belief that today’s students are tomorrow’s innovators, and the right exposure can unlock their true potential.

WHY THIS MATTERS

This workshop was more than an academic activity—it was a movement towards goal-oriented learning. By introducing Robotics and IoT at this stage, we are:
