At UniFirst Robotics, we are committed to bridging this gap by empowering students with industry-relevant skills. With this mission in mind, we recently concluded an exciting 4-day IoT & Robotics Skill Development Program in collaboration with Cretile, hosted by the School of Mechanical Engineering, Reva University.
Hands-On Projects That Drive Innovation
This program was specially designed for 3rd Semester Mechanical Engineering students, providing them with real-world applications of Internet of Things (IoT) and Robotics through project-based learning. Students worked on practical, real-time projects that directly impact industries and everyday life. Some of the standout projects included:
Smart Home Automation System – Students developed an IoT-based home automation system, allowing remote control of appliances via mobile applications. This project showcased the importance of smart energy management and convenience in modern households.
Automated Water Level Monitoring System – Addressing real-world challenges, students designed a system that monitors water levels in tanks and reservoirs using IoT sensors, reducing water wastage and promoting efficient resource management.
Bluetooth-Controlled Robotic Arm – Participants built a robotic arm controlled via Bluetooth, demonstrating applications in automated manufacturing and precision handling.
IoT-Based Environmental Monitoring System – A project focused on real-time air quality monitoring, helping raise awareness about pollution levels and environmental health.
These projects not only enhanced students’ technical skills but also demonstrated how IoT and Robotics can be leveraged to solve practical problems in various industries.
